Last week, our postdoc Kevin Darras organised our very first ecoacoustics workshop: we learned a lot on what ecoacoustics is, what soundscapes are, the different types of Passive Acoustic Monitoring devices currently on the market, the available softwares to analyse acoustic data, why and how to do that, and much more. The workshop included a practical exercise during which we deployed some AudioMoths in the green areas of our campus, and we subsequently analysed the recordings.
