On 24.03.2023 the second networking meeting between farmers and scientists within the ECO²SCAPE project took place. At the beginning, the results of the field work from 2022 were presented, comparing the species richness and diversity of flowering and fallow areas, as well as the first results of the bird mapping. Maria Kernecker then presented the results of interviews on the topic of “How do conservation and agriculture fit together?” The program continued with a discussion on the current agri-environmental and climate measures as well as on the co-design measures developed in the project, in which all present actively participated. Finally, Kerstin Emonds from the “National Natural Landscapes” gave an insight into the work of the biosphere reserves and invited all farmers of the project to an excursion in June to the Schaalsee biosphere reserve.
